EOG Pep-Rally

Mrs. Benson and Mr. Manley spoke with third, fourth, and fifth grade students in the gym Monday afternoon about this week’s EOG (End of Grade) tests. Each student received an EOG shirt they are allowed to wear while taking the EOG test. Mrs. Benson talked about this year’s EOG t-shirt design. The shirts read “Encouragement + Optimism = Greatness”. She also presented fifth grade student Kayla Baker with an award for creating the winning EOG Slogan. Mr. Manley encouraged students to stay focused and work hard.

Kindergarten Field trip to Wilgrove Park

Wilgrove Park in Mint Hill was the site of a wonderful and exciting day full of laughter and fun. All of Walter Bickett’s kindergarteners descended on the park for an amazing field trip on May 4th.

The swings, slides, climbing walls, zip line, and jumping platforms were very popular with the students. They also enjoyed playing in the huge sand box with digging equipment. Students were able to explore, discover, and have new adventures. What a joy it was to stand back and watch all of the exciting activities.
