Allen Tate Donates to Walter Bickett

Walter Bickett is the recipient of a generous donation from Allen Tate Realty. On January 13, 2010 Allen Tate representatives Ron Sumrow and Danielle Spuler presented Walter Bickett with 6 Wii Sports stations and an additional check of $4,166.00 to be spent on improvements throughout the school.
Business Partner Provides Sidewalk

Thanks to Tyson Foods, one of our Business Partners, for providing the funding for this sidewalk on the Primary Playground off the "Red Hall" of our school. Students can use the playground in all kinds of weather with this nice sidewalk leading to it from the building. It makes a nice addition to the outdoor landscaping of our campus. Thanks to our Business Partnership program, we have many things that we would not otherwise have in our school.

Walter Bickett is known as a Business Partnership Community. Eight years ago, we initiated a dream of linking the community to our school by literally bringing them into the school. We have individuals and organizations who have contributed and continute to contribute to our daily expenses. Money isn't everything. Many volunteers come into the school to perform services that are invaluable: tutoring, working in the media center, helping at class parties, to mention a few. Some special projects have also been accomplished through these partnerships and they are listed below.
* courtyard transformation
* dress code donations
* Walt's Christmas celebration
* the sound system for our school
* leveled books for students
* community murals
* volunteer and tutoring services
* the playground walkway
